quote du jour ~estes – ours is not the task…

Ours is not the task of fixing the entire world at once, but of stretching out to mend the part of the world that is within our reach.

  1. Dear Pathwriter,
Yours is the ONLY blog I subscribe to … I found you through our mutual love of Mark Nepo. I will have the indescribable privilege of being with him in a yearlong journey that convenes quarterly beginning next week… I just want you to know how MANY days you speak directly to my heart and soul through what you write… you have no idea…your heartsharings touch me over and over in such deeply personal ways… a Gift from Spirit through you…
With Such Love and Deep Gratitude,

    • Thank you, Rebecca! I’m so glad to know that the things I post speak to your heart and soul and have meaning for you. So happy that you’re getting to work with Mark Nepo. His work has meant so much to me on a personal level, but it has also had the extra benefit of connecting me with other like-minded people like you. Thank you for taking the time to let me know that what I do on my little blog has had an impact. Much love to you, Viki/pathwriter

    • You’re welcome. :) Many years ago, I was in the same place of feeling overwhelmed by the world’s problems, when I finally came to the realization that I couldn’t save the world, but I could save my own backyard (so to speak), and that this was enough. Dr. Estes is the first person who has managed to sum up the way that I feel and state it so eloquently. When I came across this quote last night, I knew I had to share it.
