  1. Wasn’t it the Cheshire Cat in Alice in Wonderland who said something about it’s not mattering which direction you go if you’re not sure what you’re trying to get to? It seems to me it’s the same thing with questions and answers. If we don’t know what type of answers were looking for, then how would we know what kind of questions to ask?

    • I’ve been hanging out in this place a lot the last few years, especially the last six months or so. I can’t speak for anyone else, but I think what I’m being told in my current situation is that, even if I don’t know what questions to ask, I need to create a space in which I can listen for the answers—meditate, journal, listen to music, go for long walks in nature—anything that creates an opening to receive guidance. Another thing I’ll do from time to time is ask, “What do I need to know right now? What’s the most important thing for me to know right now?” When I used to cast the I Ching on a regular basis, one of my most frequent questions was simply, “Guidance, please.”
