you must trust.
you must be aware.
you must open your eyes.
you must ask for help.
you must trust.
you must accept that you are extraordinary—in the way that each person is extraordinary in his or her own way.
you are called to be uniquely you.
you are called to follow your own path.
you must remain open.
you must be aware.
you must trust.
you must live.
you must love with all your heart that which is unlovable, even and especially in yourself.
you must forgive.
you must forget that you have been hurt and go forward in innocence.
you must wipe the slate clean.
you must start over.

The purity of the Gospel of Jesus Christ !
So lovely…and duly noted ;)
;)
“you must accept that you are extraordinary—in the way that each person is extraordinary in his or her own way.”
This is a tall order, but necessary in order to fully heal.
Thank you.
These words came to me during meditation about a year and a half ago, and, of all of them, the “extraordinary” line is the one I’ve had the most difficulty with. I think we grow up being taught that seeing ourselves as extraordinary, using words like this to describe ourselves, is stuck up or conceited. What I’ve finally come to see is that we are extraordinary—that all beings are extraordinary, in the sense of being precious and amazing and rare and unique.
Amen sister. Amen.
I sometimes wonder why we think it’s conceited to see how amazing we are, when jesus admonished us to love our self.
This had great resonance with me, Pathwriter. The last two lines:
“you must wipe the slate clean.
you must start over.”
especially made made connect; I sometimes feel like I’ll wipe my slate away if I wipe it clean anymore :-). But I know our journey is all about discovery – and that means changing… and learning… and starting over and over and over again. Blessings to you :-)
I understand. Those two lines resonated strongly with me, too. Blessings to you as well. :-)
Loud and clear; gentle to bear.
Very insightful….we learn these things I think at different times of our lives..sometimes it takes many years .. Diane

pathwriter’s note: I wrestled all evening with what to post. The recent posting of “note to self (4)” had me looking back at my other “note to self” posts. As I re-read this one, I realized that this was what I was supposed to post this evening. I certainly needed the reminders herein…hoping it resonates with some of you out there as well.
